Ingenica Solutions has been awarded a pilot project to implement its inventory management solution at Barts Health NHS Trust. The pilot will run for 6 – 12 months on two sites; the cardiology department at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, and the Gateway operating theatres at Newham hospital.
Implementation of the solution will enable greater efficiencies in supply chain processes and procurement practices at the Trust. By facilitating greater visibility and transparency, and better stock and data management, the solution is expected to minimise product wastage, reduce costs and improve efficiencies, creating long-term cost savings.
The solution also meets Department of Health compliance requirements including e-Procurement Strategy, GS1 and PEPPOL adoption.
