The Role

Ingenica are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join their rapidly expanding Team, reporting to the Director of Sales.  So, if you are familiar with the NHS and account management, love the sales environment and have a flair for client communication and understand consumer behaviour, this is for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors and become their voice within Ingenica
  • Ability to answer client queries and identifying new business opportunities
  • Cross-functional liaison with internal teams (including Customer Service and Product Development departments) to improve the entire customer experience
  • Work with the Regional Sales Manager(s) to develop customer account plans and deliver targeted growth
  • Communicate the progress of initiatives to internal and external stakeholders, including maintenance of CRM systems
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships to facilitate ongoing sales opportunities
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas
  • Prepare written reports on account status
  • Collaborate with service delivery team to identify and grow opportunities within territory
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
  • To provide assistance and guidance to the pre-sales process
  • To provide project management / consultancy / discovery support services as and when required and provide assistance and support to the implementation teams
  • To effectively provide presentations of our software and functionality to existing, prospective and new customers


Essential Competences and Behaviours

  • The candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record working in a complex organisation with a healthcare focus.
  • Provide an excellent level of customer service at all times
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organisation, including executive and C-level
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding and training in consultative selling techniques
  • Work with all internal support functions to ensure all work is completed as required to meet or exceed customer requirements
  • Ideally, candidates for this role will know how to meet ambitious individual and team-wide sales quotas


Essential Education Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales or relevant field
  • Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager or relevant role
  • Experience of working within the NHS and procurement process
  • Experience of supply chain and inventory management solutions
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
  • Track record in profitable account management
  • Solid experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, Microsoft etc) and MS Office (particularly MS Excel)

The role will attract travel throughout the UK, with possible internationally as the role develops.
