Whilst the GS1 programme gets underway for the six demonstrator sites selected by the Department of Health, and the successes of the first twelve months of the programme are shared, other early pathfinder trusts are now taking the next steps. Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (LTH) for instance is one such trust. It has championed GS1 standards in a live healthcare environment, and along the way has developed invaluable guidance and best practice.
