We are Recruiting! Full Time: Software Systems Tester

Job Summary
Ingenica Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Software System Tester to join their Development Team based in Rowlands Castle, Hampshire. The role is to undertake systems and unit testing of our Microsoft NAV bespoke systems and Mobility applications to ensure that our software performs as it should. The post holder will identify defects, changes required and produce documentation and records to support findings.

Responsibilities

  • Liaising with business users to validate, clarify and expand on requirements during development for successful delivery.
  • Creating test plans and scenarios that specify input and expected outcomes and mitigate risk.
  • Testing software applications to ensure quality in line with defined process and policy.
  • Production of clear and concise testing plans and documentation.
  • Contributing to, developing and maintaining testing process and policy.
  • Working with application developers to ensure a high level of quality in development.
  • Raising and monitoring functional testing incidents in our internal incidents tool.
  • Identifying incident details to enable developer to understand the problem and to replicate it and prioritise based on the severity of the error.
  • Providing feedback on screen design, usability and functionality.
  • Reviewing draft user documentation and providing feedback of user focused documentation.
  • Work with our support team on replication of incidents.


Person Specification

Essential Education Qualifications and Experience

  • degree educated or equivalent by experience or professional qualifications
  • demonstrable understanding and experience of system testing;
  • experience of working in a fast paced constantly changing environment
  • experience of using Test Management and Defect Management Tools


Desirable
–  understanding of test automation concepts and best practices.

Desirable: 
Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 onward, ERP or database knowledge, Microsoft Office
